My love for dog training began when I got my first dog, Minnie, four years ago. I became hyper-obsessed with learning how to train her as a puppy using only positive reinforcement methods. She thrived using these techniques and very quickly learned all of the (in my opinion, most important) basic obedience commands: sit, lay down, stay, come, off, leave it, wait, and place. A year later, I got my second pup, Nate, and began implementing the same techniques with him. He caught on just as quickly and easily.

I soon decided that it was time to start helping others learn how to teach their dog right from wrong, in a purely positive way. One that harnesses a deep connection and bond between dog and owner. In my opinion, it is a lot more impressive when a dog is hyper-focused on their owner, making eye contact consistently and are clearly enjoying time with “their person” than it is to see a dog with an e-collar on, tail hanging low and the dog just going through the motions. Don’t get me wrong, e-collars can be a great training tool when used correctly and can speed up the training process. However, I believe in putting in the extra effort to build a strong bond with each dog that I have the pleasure of working with and teaching you to do the same! Nothing beats feeling truly connected to your dog in a way that very few get the chance to experience.
